Daikin R-32 heat pump - the Phase II

After launching the new R-32 heat pump EWYT-B- in January, Daikin is now announcing the completion of phase 2. This new phase will extend the possibilities of the range in the Double V Coil layout with dual refrigerant circuit.

This is an important step forward for Daikin, since heat pumps are becoming more and more relevant in the market. In fact, since heat pumps burn no fossil fuel, they generate far fewer greenhouse gas emissions than conventional heating options. Therefore, they are a relevant option to both reduce buildings energy consumption and complying with European directives and regulations. The combination of this technology with R-32 refrigernat, then,  makes Daikin heat pumps a even better choice.

EWYT-B- specifics

In combination with the range extension up to 650 kW, the phase 2 introduces

  • BRINE OPTION (operation down to -13°C in cooling mode)
  • HIGH AMBIENT KIT (operation up to 52°C ambient in cooling mode for high eff. Models)

The new features and options will extend the range operational envelope for both cooling and heating applications.

Also, the full load efficiency of this series extension goes up to 3.52 COP (at nominal conditions), SEER goes up to 4.92 and SCOP up to 4.06 (SCOP).

Why to choose Daikin R-32 heat pump EWYT-B-

Legacy in technology design

Daikin launched R-32 refrigerant in split air conditioners in 2012 and in air-cooled chillers in 2018 - for the first time in the history of AC.

Being first often results in being technological leaders. It gives you unrivalled understanding of how to meet customers’ needs and expectations with that technology.

A choice for the environment

With the new heat pump EWYT-B- featuring R-32 refrigerant, Daikin aims at offering to the market a product  that will help confining fossil fuels and older refrigerants to a minor role. Daikin heat pump EWYT-B- offers an opportunity to reduce the environmental footprint of heating & cooling systems in a wide range of spaces, therefore, satisfying heating & cooling demand from 75 to 650 kW.

Infinitely flexibility

Because it can to satisfy both heating & cooling demands from 75 to 650 kW, Daikin EWYT-B- can meet the needs of a wide variety of applications

Also, Daiki EWYT-B- can operate, in cooling mode, in ambient temperatures up to 52° C and can produce hot water up to 60° C in ambient temperatures up to 35° C.

The best performance

Low impact on the environment and infinity flexibility, then, come with the heist efficiency on the market and an extensive list of options and accessories, then, provides further flexibility and choice.

Daikin EWYT-B- monitoring and control

The EWYT-B- is fully compatible with the Daikin on Site, which allows:

  • remote monitoring
  • system optimization
  • preventive maintenance

Also, the new heat pump comes with Master/Slave functionality as a standard. This option enables the management of up to 4 units on the same system without the need for external control devices. For more complex systems, tough, the optional Daikin iCM in the best way to ensure energy optimization of the HVAC plant.

An extensive list of options and accessories, then, provides further flexibility and choice. These include the fully integrated hydronic kit for fixed flow or variable flow operation, partial heat recovery for sanitary hot water production and many other solutions.
