CHALLENGE & SOLUTIONS
The Irish factory of the client company needed new air-cooled chillers to provide plastic forming tools with the necessary cooling so they could operate correctly. Of course, among the main requirements for this project, were energy efficiency and reliability. To meet the requirements of this project Daikin supplied two air-cooled scroll R-32 chillers from the Bluevolution Series, able to provide both outstanding energy efficiency and proven reliability. The chillers provided featured the natural migration-free cooling option and the hydronic kit, which integrates a water pump on-board, simplifying installation and allowing for reduce the overall system footprint. The free cooling option will help make the whole HVAC system extremely efficient. In fact, with free cooling, chillers will be able to use outdoor favorable temperatures to chill water, switching compressors off and limiting the impact of mechanical cooling on energy consumption. Air-cooled R-32 chillers, then, were not chosen just for outstanding energy efficiency but were also chosen for their documented reliability.
