Daikin has recently supplied a multipurpose unit featuring screw inverter compressor to a private hospital in Cyprus. The project aimed at replacing several chiller units from multiple brands, used for different purposes, from MRI cooling to comfort cooling in the facility.

CHALLENGE & SOLUTIONS
The private hospital involved in the project offers all kinds of medical support (Emergency, all medical specialties, Surgery Theaters, Labs, and Intensive Care) and is recognized as one of the best Heart Surgery centers in the world. The project aimed at upgrading the building's HVAC system, improving the building’s energy efficiency by replacing old chiller units with more efficient and reliable alternatives, able to ensure continuity of operation to machines and services in the hospital. The unit supplied to meet the needs mentioned above was the Multipurpose 4Z chiller. It was chosen for the ability to provide, simultaneously, cooling, heating, and hot sanitary water, covering the need for both cooling and heating at the same time in the facility. Among the features that will help the hospital meet energy efficiency targets, there is the screw inverter compressor, which will ensure high energy efficiency levels, especially at part load.
