DATA CENTRE PROGRAM MANAGER
For our office in Ariccia (RM), we are looking for a DATA CENTRE PROGRAM MANAGER
The role as the main actor will have to act as the primary post‑order contact for key data‑centre customers, orchestrating all internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time, on budget and to specification. Own program risk management, progress reporting, quality performance and factory acceptance testing (FAT) to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction. Coordinate seamlessly with KAMs, Business Development, Product Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, the Central DC Commissioning team and local affiliate project managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Ownership & Customer Interface – Serve as single point of contact from order release through shipment and commissioning, providing clear communication and timely status updates to customers.
- Cross‑Functional Coordination – Align KAM, BD, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain and Central DC Commissioning teams; liaise with affiliate‑level project managers to ensure unified execution.
- Schedule & Risk Management – Develop integrated timelines, identify critical path and proactively mitigate risks to meet customer KPIs for on‑time delivery.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement – Track quality metrics (PPM, first‑pass yield), lead root‑cause analyses and drive corrective actions.
- Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) – Plan and host customer FATs; coordinate test protocols, resources and documentation to achieve first‑time pass.
- Progress & KPI Reporting – Compile and issue weekly internal dashboards and customer progress reports covering schedule, quality, cost and risk status.
- Change & Issue Management – Control scope changes, manage claim strategies and ensure commercial impacts are captured.
- Lessons‑Learned & Feedback Loop – Feed market and execution insights back to Product Management and Engineering for roadmap and process enhancement.
Key Qualifications & Experience
- 15+ years’ experience managing multi‑disciplinary projects/programs in a factory or customer‑site environment; mission‑critical or HVAC projects a plus.
- Project‑management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA or equivalent) desirable.
- Proficiency with modern project‑management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira) preferred.
- Engineering degree preferred; relevant technical diploma considered with strong track record.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple concurrent projects with diverse international stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; Italian and/or other European languages an advantage.

Senior Consulting Sales Engineer – Data Center Business
SCOPE OF THE POSITION :
Develop and strengthen Daikin’s position within the EMEA Data Center consulting community by influencing project specifications and promoting high-performance HVAC solutions.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to key consulting firms, providing high‑value technical guidance and ensuring Daikin technologies are embedded in consultant designs.
Work closely with Key Account Managers, Business Development, and Product Management to translate market feedback into actionable product and sales strategies. Ensure an effective hand‑off to Key Account Managers for end‑user pursuit and continue consultant support until the order is secured.

ACTIVITIES :
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
- Consultant relation management and specification influence:
- Map, prioritize and develop relationships with top data‑center consulting firms and key decision makers across EMEA.
- Influence project specifications to position Daikin solutions as the preferred technical and performance benchmark.
- Secure and maintain Daikin listings on approved vendor and compliance registers at target consultants.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with KAMs for smooth hand‑off and joint pursuit of end‑user opportunities
- Support Business Development, Product Management, and Engineering to deliver integrated, customer‑specific solutions.
- Market Intelligence & promotion:
- Capture emerging data‑center trends, technology demands, and competitor activity; provide structured, real‑time feedback to internal stakeholders.
- Support local Daikin affiliate teams in engaging regional consultants, delivering training, tools and project‑specific guidance
- Promote and manage factory visits, hosting consultant visits to DAE factories and labs, showcasing manufacturing capability and innovation roadmap.

Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline
Experience & Knowledge
- 15+ years’ experience in HVAC and data‑centre system design, with at least 5 years in consultant‑facing roles.
- Recognised data‑centre certification (e.g., Uptime ATD, CDCDP, ASHRAE) strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of chiller, precision cooling, and integrated thermal‑management architectures for mission‑critical facilities.
- Proven success influencing specifications and securing vendor approvals across multi‑country consultant networks.

Key Account Manager – Data Center Business
SCOPE OF THE POSITION :
Collaborating with Business Development Consultants and Directors of the different business area, lead and grow a portfolio of key clients in the Data Center sector (consultants, hyperscalers, and global colocation providers) positioning Daikin as their trusted partner for HVAC solutions.
Act as the single commercial and technical interface across the full project lifecycle, from first enquiry to final delivery and payment, ensuring customer satisfaction, profitable growth, and valuable market feedback to guide business strategy. Act to respect bookings and margins established.

ACTIVITIES :
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
- Key account management: maintain and expand relationships with assigned data‑center clients and influencers to secure master purchase agreements (MPAs) and repeat project wins.
- Project management:
- manage the full commercial process from enquiry to delivery, ensuring accuracy of CRM data, pipeline forecasts, and margin control;
- Coordinate internal stakeholders (Application Engineering, Product Management, Service, Finance) to deliver tailored HVAC solutions that meet client specifications and profitability targets
- Regional & Global Alignment:
- work closely with other Key Account Managers (KAMs) across Daikin Applied Europe and wider EMEA
- interface with global/other‑region KAMs for hyperscaler and multi‑region colocation accounts.
- Business‑Development and targets
- Follow‑up, qualify and advance leads generated by the Central Data‑Centre BD team, converting them into bookings.
- Deliver on annual targets for bookings, invoicing, margin, and account growth; track KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed
- Share structured market and customer insights with leadership and product teams to anticipate trends and guide innovation. (Voice of customer)
- Governance & Compliance:
- Ensure all proposals, contracts and deliveries comply with Daikin policies, ethical standards and local regulations.

Required Skills and Abilities :
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related technical field).
Experience & Knowledge
Minimum 8-10 years of combined experience in HVAC and/or Data‑Centre vertical markets, including chiller/precision cooling knowledge.
Proven success in managing large, multi‑site, or multinational key accounts and complex sales cycles
Understanding of infrastructure and building systems in large-scale or critical environments.
Solid analytical skills
Fluid English, other languages are an advantage
